SUMA KIDS,Inc. is a privately owned company dedicated to providing services designed to enhance the lives of children and families. Owned and operated by Susan Marcus, OTR/L, an Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of pediatric experience.

We provide evaluation, treatment and consultation to children and their parents on an individual basis in our clinic. Our recently expanded clinic is child friendly and has been specially designed to provide children with individualized, multi-sensory experiences including suspension equipment for motor skill development and sensory processing disorder  treatment including  sensory diets, fine motor equipment, and a wide variety of movement experiences to enhance gross motor and motor planning skills.

Our “green” clinic is filled with suspension swings, vestibular based equipment, sensory opportunities including the “hug machine’ designed by Temple Grandin, quiet areas, climbing vines and lycra hammocks! We have full spectrum lights (no fluorescents), low VOC paints & carpets, green plants and pure drinking water.

Suma Tweens  is  a new program designed to meet the needs of the  11-13 year old child. Addressing  their unique needs in an age appropriate environment we are able to  provide  help in sensory processing, self regulation, handwriting and motor coordination.

SUMA Home offers  in-home consultation for families to help create a play/sensory area that best meets their  child’s needs in their home. This allows the family to  easily and affordably  integrate  movement and sensory experiences on a daily basis  to support their  child’s needs.

We also offer  “Therapeutic Listening” (TM) a sensory based auditory processing program, developed by occupational therapists.  This  program  integrates sound technology with sensory integrative therapy, emphasizing vestibular activities. It is an affordable and easy to use program  has positive effects on many children. Parent report increased focus and attention, reduction of sensory defensive behaviors, improved fine motor skills ,bilateral coordination and motor planning, improvement in sleep cycles and less mood variances and many other positive changes.

Our occupational therapists are registered and licensed with strong backgrounds in pediatrics, and are familiar with sensory integration, educational systems, IEP’s, and common family issues that face children and parents daily.
